Blast from the Past - 1994

Sacred Grove ~ Palmyra, New York ~ July 1994

(I've always wondered what Josh was looking at)

Drew - 17
Michelle - 16
Laurie - 10
Jessie - 9
Megan - 5
Josh - 1

I drove the kids to Palmyra from Toledo, as Kelly couldn't get off work. We had a wonderful time together, going to the Hill Cumorah Pageant, seeing the other sights, like the Joseph Smith farm, staying in the hotel, etc.
I am crazy about these people.

Great photos on the June 3 post.

Oh, and I thought I'd share that the natives apparently think that the state in between Indiana and Pennsylvania is named "a-hi-ya". I heard several people call it that when I was there last month. Sorta like that city in Tennessee, the one famous for being music city, where I overheard one woman telling another, "it's not NYE-sh-VEEL, honey, it's correctly pronounced NYE-sh-vull".

Thanks for your comments on my blog. The city across the river from Louisville (lou-a-vul) is New Albany, Indiana. BTW, my hikes in the Shenandoah are easily accessible, so go enjoy the beauty and serenity. I'd lose my sanity if I couldn't retreat to the sanctity of the forest occasionally. The walks are generally not strenyous if you take them slow and easy. You and Kelly would really enjoy them.
